A simple paper storage system that can serve as a writing or drawing surface is surprisingly hard to find. Built with high quality marine plywood and clear fir, the removable lid is held in place by two high-quality Southco marine draw latches. The finish is handmade shellac, a waterproof and foodsafe surface that dissolves in alcohol and is easy to retouch.
The Daysketcher is 10″x12,” weighs 590 grams (1.3 pounds) and can fit standard letter-size paper.
The Tripsketcher is 12 5/8″x16 5/8″ on the outside and weighs 850 grams (1.9 pounds) and can fit 11×15 quarter sheets of full size, 22×30″ artist’s paper.

I just wanted to tell you that I have enjoyed using one of your cases since my son bought it for me as a birthday gift. I am an artist, and the question of taking materials when travelling is always a big one. On my most recent trip to the Middle East, I brought along the 10×12 case I have been given with enough watercolour paper to do for a bit of painting. I taped the paper to the outside of the box, and it worked very well!
